Theologian In Residence Events with the Rev. Dr. Luke Powery

The Rev. Dr. Luke Powery will serve as the Theologian In Residence at Lake Junaluska from Aug. 13-19 and will host a morning devotion and two sessions based on his book, “Becoming Human: The Holy Spirit and the Rhetoric of Race.” Over the two days, participants will explore “Many Thousand Gone: A Perpetual History of Inhumanity,” “Every Time I Feel the Spirit: A Pheumatology for Particularity,” and “There is a Balm: A Ministry with Humanity.” All events are free and open to the public.
