Four-day Event to Feature Local Artisans at Lake Junaluska

The annual Lake Junaluska Artists in Residence Art Show will be held from
10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Aug. 27-30, in Room 202 of the Harrell Center at Lake Junaluska.

This free, four-day celebration of local creativity will showcase works by 18 artists working in painting, sculpture, pottery, fiber arts, jewelry and more.

Also, visitors are encouraged to enter a raffle to win a hand-painted ukulele by artist Stephanie Schulz. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25. To enter the raffle, visit https://bit.ly/LJAIRUkulele. The drawing will be held during the Mountain Strings Ukulele Concert featuring Stu Fuchs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Lake Junaluska Memorial Chapel. Participating artists in the Artists in Residence Art Show will be: Ashley M. Calhoun, J. Steven Coffey, Brooke Douglass, Susan Epperson, Christine Gibson, Rob Huckabee, Timothy Charles Jacobs, George Kenny, Jody Bradley Lipscomb, Cathy Plowman, Wanda C. Rogers, Stephanie L. Schulz, Lauri SoJourner, Cherry Stone, Haidee Wilson, Pamela Winn and Sarah Workman.

The Harrell Center is located at 710 N. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Junaluska. The show is a highlight of the year for the local arts community and a chance for the public to engage with the artists who contribute to the vibrant culture of the Lake Junaluska area.
