Lake Junaluska’s Summer Worship Series will kick off Sunday, June 28, with six visiting theologians serving as guest preachers throughout the summer. Summer Worship Series’ services will be at 9 a.m. on consecutive Sundays from June 28 through Aug. 2 at the Lakeside White Tent near Stuart Auditorium.
Guest musicians will lead the music. Seating is limited. Visitors may bring their own chairs. All are welcome.
In addition, the theologians in residence will lead devotions at 8:30 a.m. Mondays and hold workshops from 10-11:30 a.m. Monday-Wednesday, providing opportunities in today’s virtual world for meaningful, in-person conversations and experiences with leading theologians.
Pat McKim, director of Program Ministries, said this year’s lineup of theologians has created a buzz. “We have a wonderful diversity of voices who will offer the Sunday morning message and share in teaching Monday through Wednesday,” McKim said. “This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in conversation that will deepen our faith and challenge us to share the gospel.”
