There’s a spot on the walkway just in front of the Susanna Wesley Garden where the view of the lake and the surrounding mountains is unobstructed and magnificent, where a step in any direction will take you to structures, gardens, and other representations of Lake Junaluska’s past, present and future.

Welcome to the newly opened Warren Center and Musgrave Event Lawn, anchors of a stunning new complex of indoor and outdoor spaces, which includes the Susanna Wesley Garden and rustic chapel, the new Chrissy Hill Overlook and the adjacent Terrace Hotel–all linked by a lighted pathway making it easy for guests to move from one venue to another.

The Warren Center, an elegant event space, opened last month when it hosted the Haywood Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Installation and Awards Dinner.

The Musgrave Event Lawn is a lovely outdoor reception area that overlooks the lake and abuts the Susanna Wesley Garden, a hidden gem that offers a tranquil respite from the busyness of the lakeside walking trail and recreation area. The historic open-air chapel is just steps away, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant in its simplicity and sincerity.

The addition of the Warren Center and Musgrave Event Lawn–a chic modern centerpiece for the grounds–continues Lake Junaluska’s focus on mission and ministry by creating venues for retreats, receptions, ceremonies, reunions and other gatherings.

We are grateful to Anne and Mike Warren, Wanda and Bill Musgrave, the family of Chrissy Hill and others for their generous charitable giving that made the Chrissy Hill Scenic Overlook and the Warren Center and Musgrave Event Lawn possible.
